ABOUT SIXTH MAN

A Workers’ Comp Advisory Firm Focused on California Staffing Agencies

Sixth Man Employer & Insurance Services is a boutique Workers’ Compensation advisory firm headquartered in Southern California. We work exclusively with staffing agencies operating in California to help them navigate cost, compliance, and structural risk.

OUR PURPOSE

Why Sixth Man Exists

Staffing agencies operate in one of the most complex Workers’ Compensation environments in the country. Rising premiums, regulatory requirements, client COI demands, and payroll integration challenges create friction that generic insurance solutions often fail to address.

Sixth Man was built to fill this gap—by approaching Workers’ Compensation not as a transaction, but as an operational framework that must align with how staffing agencies grow, scale, and manage risk over time.

Our work begins with understanding how your agency operates today—then mapping structural options that support compliance, margin protection, and long-term flexibility in California’s staffing market.

WHAT WE DO

Workers’ Comp and Employment Structures Built for Staffing

Sixth Man advises staffing agencies on Workers’ Compensation structures and employment models that support compliance, cost control, and scalability within California’s regulatory environment.

  • Workers’ Compensation structure evaluation
  • Employment model guidance (traditional, PEO, ASO, EOR)
  • Cost and risk assessment aligned to staffing operations
  • COI and compliance strategy support
  • Long-term structural planning as agencies evolve
OUR PHILOSOPHY

How We Think About Workers’ Comp

Workers’ Compensation impacts nearly every aspect of a staffing agency’s operation—from payroll and funding to compliance, client relationships, and long-term profitability.

Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that Workers’ Comp decisions should be proactive, structured, and revisited as agencies evolve. Short-term savings that introduce compliance or claims risk rarely serve agencies well over time.

We focus on building compliant, scalable structures that balance cost efficiency, risk exposure, and operational control—so decisions made today do not create problems tomorrow.

EXPERIENCE

Deep Market Immersion in California Staffing

Our team brings decades of combined experience across Workers’ Compensation, risk management, payroll, and staffing operations. We remain actively engaged with carriers, service providers, and regulatory developments specific to California’s staffing industry.

This ongoing market immersion allows us to evaluate options objectively and identify viable paths—even in challenging or high-risk scenarios—while maintaining an advisory posture focused on long-term outcomes.
